You will be picked up from your hotel in Delhi or the airport. The tour representative will then take you to Agra. The Taj Expressway which connects Delhi and Agra is replete with scenic beauty. Enroute you can stop at Sikandara to visit the Tomb of Emperor Akbar. Once you reach Agra, you will be taken to your chosen hotel where after getting fresh you will proceed for Taj Mahal sightseeing. Taj Mahal located on banks of River Yamuna is a dream in white marble. This wonderful mausoleum was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his wife Mumtaj Mahal. The Taj complex houses graves of both Shah Jahan and Mumtaj Mahal. You have to buy the entry ticket for Taj Mahal viewing.
Taj Mahal is primarily known for brilliant architecture and mind-blowing beauty. It is believed that 25,000 workers worked day and night and it took a span of 23 years to build this monument. Later on, the emperor cut the hands of the workers so that they could not create such a building again. After seeing Taj Mahal, you can indulge in some shopping of souvenirs, marble inlay work artifacts, etc in the bazaars of Agra. Agra is also known for handicrafts. In the morning you will leave for Bharatpur. Bharatpur is famous for Keoladeo Ghana Bird Sanctuary. It takes roughly 1 hour to reach Bharatpur. The park is known to have more than 230 species of local as well as foreign birds. Every year Siberian Crane comes here after traveling thousands of kilometers. Once you have finished seeing the park you will leave for Delhi in a prepaid taxi. It takes 4 hrs 30 minutes to reach Delhi so try leaving on time, lest you will get very late.
