Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 - Departure from Delhi to Agra

The trip begins with pick-up by tour representative from Delhi airport or any other location in the city. From there you will be taken to Agra in a prepaid taxi. The Taj Expressway has made this journey extremely comfortable. Enroute you can see the Tomb of Emperor Akbar at Sikandara. It just takes 4 hours to reach Agra. Once you are in Agra, you will immediately leave for Taj Mahal sightseeing. Taj Mahal is located on banks of River Yamuna. It is like a dream in pristine white marble. This amazingly beautiful mausoleum was the vision of Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan. He built it in memory of his wife dead wife Mumtaj Mahal. Tombs of both Shah Jahan and Mumtaj Mahal are located inside. Entry fee for Taj Mahal viewing is INR 50 for Indian and INR 1100 for foreigners.

Once you are done with seeing Taj Mahal, you can visit Agra Fort which is huge red sandstone fort built across 94 acres of land. Then shop for some souvenirs, marble inlay work artifacts, leather products etc in the well-known bazaars of Agra. Agra is famous for an Indian dessert known as "Petha". If you have time on hand visit Mehtab Bagh and Tomb of Itimad-ud Daulaha also. Overnight stay is in a hotel in Agra.

Day 2 - Agra to Chambal

In the morning you will leave for Chambal. You will be staying at Chambal Safari Lodge which is located at a distance of just 70 kms from Agra. In Chambal you will visit the very famous Bhateshwar Temple. This historical temple is popular for the cattle fair which is supposed to be bigger than even the Pushkar Fair. Overnight stay is in Chambal Safari Lodge.

Day 3 - Departure from Chambal Safari Lodge to Delhi

In the morning you will proceed to explore the wildlife of Chambal Valley. The place is quite popular among wildlife lovers as you will find hundreds of species of birds and animals here. There are several things to do in Chambal Valley such as camel safari, river safari, Nature & Village Walks, etc. Once you are done seeing the park you will leave for Delhi in a prepaid taxi.
